It dies right down to the ground in winter and is dead easy to divide in the spring. Gorgeous, gorgeous gorgeous.

Oh D I am so glad you posted this photo. There is a patch of this growing in the area and I was wondering what it was. Looks terrific standing at around 5-6ft tall. Now you gave me a name I've looked it up. Must approach the landowner and get some seeds or even divide some off (the house is uninhabited at the moment but I think its church property).
