I like these little Violas. We used to have the wild ones in the gardens years ago - did you ? They were called Heartsease.

I don't remember having them in our garden but I do remember seeing wild ones alongside the Light Railway track there I used to live. They were dark purple. Am I thinking of the same thing?

Probably you are. I remember dark and light ones and pale yellow too. We pulled them up as weeds. They got everywhere. They're not common now because everyone has lawns :o(((
