no its the isle of weigh in the english channel, its such a lovely place to visit

I am assuming its the Isle of White? is it the Needles? where the coloured sand comes from?

This is the Needles on the Isle of Wight, and the coloured sand comes from ALum Bay except you are not allowed to dig it from the cliffs now and they have a cable seat system to take you to the beach and back again.

A long time ago when we used to have holidays o the I.O.Wight Gerry and I had a motor bike and we carefully filled up all the glass items with different coloured sand to take home as presents from Alum Bay. By the time we arrived home it was ordinary sand colour in the tubes. LOL.

I bought a small coloured sand lighthouse but it fell off the kitchen windowsill.

Remember being down there when a sea-fog rolled in and not being able to see my hand in front of my face. Got drenched to the skin and when the foghorn went off I thought my chest would burst! Happy days . . lol! ;-)
