The gardens belonging to this hotel are actually open to the public, free of charge. There are some magnificent "specimen" trees dating back to the second half of the 19th Century (including Douglas Firs, Sequoias, Western Coastal Cedars), the hotel's "kitchen" garden, formal beds, a Japanese Garden, etc. Also, lovely hilltop views across the hills and treetops.
