They can get to 30 feet GT ... and are absolutely beautiful. This was one of my favourites areas of the Roma Street Parkland - it's called the Fern Gully and it's such a magnificent walk under these beauties.

Louise - this is a truly beautiful spot in the parklands. All you have to do is point the camera somewhere and you'll get a great shot.
These are my favourite tree ferns - it's commonly known as the Australian tree fern because it is one of the most commonly grown over here (although not in my part of Oz).

This particular spot - the Fern Gully - is really cool ... considerably cooler than the other parts of the parkland on any given day. It's quite amazing when you walk through it and then walk out the other side ... you can feel the temperature change.
