Thanks, Eileen! It isn't supposed to flower now, I was told at the Nursery, but it's probably been in a polytunnel. At least I could plant it in the right place, as I've seen the colour!

true Barbara, very good of it to flower lol

:-)) I only went in for some winter pansies - and came away with TWO beautiful plants, Eileen! No self-control, that's me! LOL.

that's pretty Spritz, is it hardy?

10 Oct, 2009

What about 'Pretty Polly' to make life easier ! lol Lovely colour Spritz :-))

10 Oct, 2009

Lovely plant. Looks a bit like a cross between a sweet pea and an orchid.

10 Oct, 2009

Grindle, it IS supposed to be hardy - according to the plant label and my RHS book, anyway!

Good name, Sue - supposing it answered back, though?? LOL.

10 Oct, 2009

Nothing surprises me in the garden !! LOL :-))

I am like HRH in that I do talk to my plants - give them a pep-talk or welcome a new flower!!!

10 Oct, 2009

I talk to anything that can't answer back Spritz and when I can't find anything like that, I talk to myself.

10 Oct, 2009

I do that all the time Toto ! The cat just pretends he's listening ! lol :-)

11 Oct, 2009

Yes - I talk to Henry, as well! LOL. I say 'Henry, should I cut this one back...etc'...Hmmmmm...

11 Oct, 2009

Think dogs are much better listeners than cats Spritz ... I've had both ! lol :-)

11 Oct, 2009

The trouble is that as soon as I mention his name, he comes and licks my ears! LOL.

11 Oct, 2009

That's the problem when you're kneeling down at their height isn't it ?? lol Mind you, being the big boy he is, I'm sure he'd reach when you're standing !! haha Nothing like paws on shoulders and a big kiss !! :-)))

11 Oct, 2009

He isn't allowed to jump up, Sue - he'd knock me flying! He's good at remembering that, unlike other things he does - like pinching stones from the bucket when I'm digging, and running off with them, laughing!

11 Oct, 2009

Chase me Mom, chase me !!! lol :-)))

11 Oct, 2009

Got it in one, Sue! LOL. he will bring it back and drop it if I insist, though. If he thinks I haven't taken any notice of him for a while, he ambles in and brings me a toy to play with! How kind! :-))

11 Oct, 2009

Love it !! lol Toy on floor ... him with paws on floor and bum in air looking between you and toy !!! Oh I do miss having a dog ! :-))

11 Oct, 2009

AND it's usually either when I'm weeding or suchlike, up to my elbows in mud - OR when I'm cooking! LOL.

11 Oct, 2009

They don't undrstand 'work' ... it's all play !! :-)))

11 Oct, 2009

...or eating or sleeping if you're Henry! lol.

11 Oct, 2009

He's a darling ! :-))

11 Oct, 2009

I agree with that, Sue! :-))))))))))))))))

11 Oct, 2009

this is stunning. how tall is it?

14 Oct, 2009

It's about a foot tall, Sbg. I think you worked it out already from the photo with the Ophiopogon, though, didn't you??? :-))

16 Oct, 2009

i had asked before i saw the second photo. its nice though. i'll be interested to see how it grows.

16 Oct, 2009

And me! Also - will it flower when it's meant to, or have a year off?

16 Oct, 2009

I love this... I like unusual plants, I am like you a plantaholic, I can't resist it if I can afford it I by it!!! Oooop's Maybe hardy down there in Summerset but doubt it would cope here in West Wales and300ft above sea level.

22 Oct, 2009

Why not? It's not me saying it's hardy - I read it up on the net and in my RHS book, as well as the label on the pot! Could be worth looking for...I hope you come across it. :-))
