It is native to the tropical areas of Mexico...and it doesn't tolerate temperatures below freezing. I think it's best low temperature range in winter would be 45 - 55 degrees F. / 7.2 - 12.8 degrees C. however, day temps should stay above 65 degrees F. / 18.3 degrees C.
