That's one I'll try, then - we get thousands of them - long spindly legs in the corners, big fat hairy ones in the bath, extroverts who come out the watch the news on telly, scurriers, strollers, ...........and the rest, lol.

ohhh.. Wagger. I just love your casual attitude. Most would be running scared! LOL... Isn't it amazing that a person (more often than not) finds the webs face first!! gives a person the creeps...but think of the loss to the spider...all that work! like the photo, Andrewr...I've tried photographing webs before and I know getting a good shot is no small fete!

tip for gardening from September onwards - if you have to go inbetween larger plants, swish a bamboo cane about in there first. clears any webs before you get smothered.... I forgot my own advice 3 weeks ago, hair full of web AND a spider - total freak out on my part, I'm ashamed to admit.

I'm not that brave - I keep an empty loo roll middle with two bits of scrunched up loo roll to capture the big ones and put them outside. It never fails to amaze me how much 'silk' one spider can drape around a bath in three seconds. I would have freaked if I had a big one in my hair too, Bamboo.

I DID! Charging around like a bull elephant thrashing my hair to get out whatever was in it... must have been a sight;-)
