That's a lovely patio area - now I can see that the tree ferns are quite sheltered and they would love being next to that water feature.

Louise, the roof is the patio roof to keep the sun off my ferns and me...........

Louise I think what you mean is the frosted panel to give more light into the area.
It gets so hot here in summer you couldnt sit outside in the sun and being an english I cant take the sun either. So to have the areas of shade means I can use nearly all of my gardens come rain or sun.
