Doreen, Rosemoor is our nearest RHS garden - It's still a long way, but isn't it a wonderful place!

Rosemoor was OK, but I was a little disapointed rearly!! Perhaps it as a little late in the year (Sept) but thereagain I would not have sen the Autumn colours!! Out of all the gardens we had viseted I liked Marwood Hill gardens the best, Thats just outside of Ilfracombe.

No, I think you didn't see the best of it. When the roses and clematis are out - it's amazing!

Have you been to the Lost gardens og Haligon?? We wen't ther when it first opened and was hoping to have gone ther this summer but Family disitiond controlled and we never got there, But IF we do manage t get down to Cornwall again we will certanly go again. There are so many lovley gardens in the West country.
Here in wales there are not so many, but one we have been to a few Autumn's ago was Bodnant Gardens in North wal;es and Certanly would visit thee again, perhaps a summer visit, but would mean an overnight stay a it is a long way to drive from Carmarthenshire.

No...too far for a day trip, I think. Like the Eden Project, too. We'd have to find someone to look after Henry overnight. I went to Bodnant many years ago - I seem to remember standing on some steps and looking at a gear view of hills...and being disappointed that I'd missed the Laburnum arch.

Kent has a lot of gardens within easy distance - Sissinghurst, Nymans, Wakehurst, Great Dixter, Scotney Castle, oh, lots! We were often out in one when we lived down there.

Yes OH, I would love to visit them all, sadly though on our pention alone we could not afford to travel as much as we would like, Had to save up for a year for the last holiday with the family, we shared 2 cabbins so thecost was shared thank goodnes.
I am still trying to put away some money each week but since we came gack from Holl's everything seems to have gonewrong ad it has been all payout, OH never mind, w can'thave it all. and we do enjoy life here which is wondeful
