Thanks Milky! Not sure if he was dieing though. Very lethargic and wiggling his bum as if to threaten with his sting. Flicked him off and last we saw, he was just on decking.

I think they do die off in the cold weather don't they?

His letargicness was what allowed me so close, poor thing...
