thanks for the name Spritz, I'd lost my label LOL, it looks good with the anemone :) I have mine planted with acacia baileyana purpurea

Is your Acacia hardy, Grindle? I've planted this facing east - I know that Asters can take some shade. Acacias? Nope!!
It might seem a bit odd buying a plant in full bloom, but at least I can 'see' the picture the two make together and enjoy them now for a while.

it's reasonably hardy here Spritz, although last year a number of people lost them, I was lucky mine survived, it's planted by a wall south facing, so that could have helped, all I lost were a few of the lower branches. I did try growing it when I lived up there and lost it in the second year, so fingers crossed for this one

Sbg, this one holds its stems in a different way - hard to explain without the two plants side-by-side!
Grindle, I'd love to be able to grow an Acacia, but my garden is just too windy!
