This Copper leaf shrub has grown a lot within one year. I originally posted it about a year when it was very small.
This is another Australian cultivar.

This one has glints of gold, doesn't it? Very nice leaf shape too. Great plant.

It has gold, bronze, orange, pink and red. Yes, I love!
I may have to buy one...I've seen it for sale for a good
price at my favorite nursery.

Hope you do: it will go with your roof tiles! Love your yard, by the way.

Thank you so much! I did buy the Acalypha wilkesiana 'Inferno' today at my favorite nursery...it was marked down in price to only $4.00 for a gallon plant...I couldn't resist.

Sorry, I didn't respond to your comment earlier!
Thanks! When you see it in person it really does
look like it's on fire. : > )

Ihave "inferno" growing but mine is darker, in spring it has reddish tips and in morning light looks on fire.

Good! I look forward to the photos, & to what you combine it with. Know that things perform differently in CA than FL, but the cooler winter temps always brought darker colors to my copperleafs come Spring...then the new summer growth would lighten up again. We'll see, eh?

The one I just purchased has much darker leaves also.
I know it's an Australian cultivar...does it grow very
tall for you?
Orgratis:
I've never noticed a difference in color from winter to summer...
however, I'm going to have be more observant. I'll let you know.

I look forward to seeing it.
I know most species or varieties of Acalypha
grow very quickly...some grow more than 6 feet/
2 meters during one year.
