So you made another one, right? I had some trouble with base rot on cuttings, & was told to let them air harden before planting. But the name for these I most love is Buddha tree as they can live out of the ground (eg when knocked by wind) for several years on their own inner resources!

Yes, of course...they are so easy from cuttings.

The cutting must callous before planting...if not,
they will rot. I've had cutting sitting in shade for several month and it will sometimes develope a flower spike.
It's because the latent bud is in the branch already.

Guess I needed to wait longer: several months, eh. Ok.

I'm not sure if I'm going to plant the branch in the ground now...or wait until spring...if we have a lot of rain (which we need badly) because of El NiƱo, the cutting may rot.
