Sunflowers still going strong...16th Oct 09

These flowered very late....only opened the other day, though the weather is still quite mild here...:>)

I don't seem to have luck growing sunflowers for some reason but I have jut noticed one growing in amungst the leeks yesterday ,Only a foot high but in bud, must have been the birds from their seed, one must have dropped it there

How kind the birds are....This is the first time i've tried sunflowers Doreen and i was very pleased with the results.....im going to have another 'go' next season......:>)
