Fuchsias Thalia upclose 2009-10-08

This is a close up of Thalia. I bought 5 plants & put one in the centre of each of the 5 hanging baskets. I'm very pleased with 4 of them but the one that was growing in the basket with the tomato plant didn't do at all well. It's still growing & flowering but is smaller then the others.

I had thought of that but the rest of the Fuchsias in the basket look about the same as in the other baskets. All in all I think this basket was the best of the five. I lent it to my daughter for a few weeks when she was selling her house. She put it beside her front door. When it was returned it wasn't in such a good condition as when I lent it to her. I think she must have forgotten to water it for a couple of days. But thanks to the water retaining crystals I'd added when planting up the basket it recovered after a couple of days back with me.
This Thalia was in a different basket. I planted one in the centre of each of the 5 baskets.
