They are REALLY easy to grow from seed, Sandra!

Yes. This plant is three years old. I bought it - then I grew a whole lot from seed....so much cheaper...:-))

From the packet, there were these mauve ones, and the white with a mauve centre. Equally attractive!

Gosh these are late! I wanted to collect seed from my plant.....came home one day only to find my dad had mowed the lawn and this plant was leaning over the lawn and he'd mowed off all the seed pods . TSK! lol

I like the way they open - single flowers to begin with, consessive petals open from the middle and the flower gets more and more double. When I bought mine, the lable (here we go again Barbara!) said it was a 'short-lived perennial'. I've had it years now!!

27 Oct, 2009

Well, I suppose it depends on what they mean by 'short-lived'!!! lol.
