I know it is a bulb and I've seen it in some gardens, just amazing growing here in the hot sand in clumps like this below the cedars and junipers.

That is is Arlene! I just couldn't come up with it one the spot! lol.
Thanks for the comments. :-) This is in southern Utah just on the edge of the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. I'll post some photos of that. My summer vacation.
