Lovely garden, how did you lay the stepping stones in the gravel? This is something i want to do with my gravel path but not sure how to do it

Hi AOM (Sorry for delay in replying - I've been on hol buying more plants.)
It's easy. Just kill grass and put down weedproof membrane and cover in gravel. Then choose where to put big pieces of slate, push gravel to side and put stones down, making sure they don't rock.
The only hard bit is driving to Wales and climbing a big pile of slate in a yard to choose the right sized ones and carry them down without slipping..
