I must say I've listened to many rambling rectors in my time but didn't realise there was a lovely rose so named.Beautiful garden.

Rambling Rector is the white rose on the trellis it blooms all through June and has a wonderful scent, can be a bit thuggish so always needs a big prune now otherwise it takes over the whole trellis and swamps everything else.

You have such a beautiful garden...and "Rambling Rector" is a gorgeous rambler...if I had the space I'd grow it :)

Yes, its the reverse side of the trellis with a large raised circular area covered with various size pebbles, pots and interesting bits. At Easter this year I took every single stone off, re-covered the area with fresh tarpaulin to keep the weeds (bellbind) down, washed every stone and replaced them all in new patterns. Either a labour of love or completely off my head!

That is such a lovely garden. I love rambling rector, am about to plant one on our new retaining wall at the back of the house - at least when the wall has fiinished being built. Thought I'd mix honeysuckle and wisteria in as well, although the wisteria will be a bit hit and miss, but will give it a go.
