This is called Bindweed there, very prevelent weed crawls through everything. All white some with this slight pink, I'm fascinated, but a local wont give it much thought. :-)

Roots down to Hades too - Glyphosate is the only answer.

they would grow over my whole house here if I let them go.....they are pretty when they are off in the briar patches..looks like mounds of them..but they need to know their place..which they don't and insist on being lopped off..pulling out by roots do not do a thing but make them spead further..

Ah, they are more widespread than I thought. Really a blight to people down there, runs through all the yards, crawls into foundations. I wonder where it ever started and lived in natural balance.

Yes we have them here. Hateful weeds if in your garden. But we also have small stripey-flowered ones that scramble over rocks and dunes by the sea. They are prettyer than the weedy ones.
