The hillside was covered in them. They do seem more successful in the stony less hospitable places where there wasn't grass. Might just be competition.

Thank you. Unusual spread along such a steep grade! Nothing seemed to put them off here.

Thanks Deida. Standing strong here. There was a hummingbird busily tending them, I think that is their secret to thriving here.
