Wow...it's lovely! What soil does it like? Bet it's not too keen on heavy clay....:((

Oh bother - another one for the wants list - please stop, Spritz!

These Saxifrage like moist soil, in shade or semi-shade. I don't think they're too fussy about soils.

Oh dear, Wagger. I found some gems yesterday! ;-)

these have to be my all time favourite plants at this time of year, flowering their heads off when everything around them is finishing :)))))

Lovely colour combination and i agree with you Grindle, they're invaluable :-)

Now that is very nice. Where did you find it?

HA! Grindle - Long Acre! Ask Louise about her experience with them - she's not too impressed! I was thinking about a trip there at some point....but certainly not THIS week!

15 Nov, 2009

was it a bad experience then? I've not ordered from them, but was thinking about it, maybe I'll wait until Barracott reopens in the spring then, and I can actually see what I'm buying :)

Might be wiser, really. It could have been a 'one-off', though - they have a good reputation, don't they!

15 Nov, 2009

I always thought they had :)

Lovely colour combination. NOt much colour in the garden now, although the grass seems to keep growing.

17 Nov, 2009

Well - I don't want to seem boastful, but I do still have some colour here! It may well be the milder area, I suspect, for most of it.

Let us know whether it gets through the winter, Spritz - this one has a reputation for not making it through - hopefully, where you live, it will.

17 Nov, 2009

Ooohh! I do hope it does, Bamboo! Yes, I'll keep a beady eye on it.

17 Nov, 2009

I found some today at less than half price so I bought 4. hopefully they will survive the winter up here.
