I agree with Amblealice.I work with a large collection of orchids, many from South America, and although its nice to grow them in pots or on bark I still prefere to see them in there natural enviroment.

Now you made me feel guilty about growing my orchids in pots... :(
or at least ... selfish...
but there is only a Ficus tree on my balcony... and I'm not sure if it would be possible to attach the bark to the ficus trunk...what you think?

Aleyna:
Orchids do very well on Ficus trees...they are
commonly grown on large Ficus trees here.
I'm sure yours willl do well on the Ficus tree
trunk as long as it's large enough to support it.

hummm
I have to try it, as soon as the flowers will be gone... right?

Aleya:
That's probably safest...you wouldn't want to
disturb the flowering...although, orchids seem
to be pretty forgiving to root disturbance.

Andy,
I'll surely not move it now.... there is not proposition accetable... LOL
I was enough afraid to move it the first time.... will wait patiently and move just one of them to the ficus... and see wt happen... by april probably
and will have to move first the ficus to the corner where the wind wont hit it very hard... or it could blow the orchid away from the 9th floor...
:)
