Rosa mulliganii

I grew this wonderful rose over a pergola in my previous garden, having got the idea from Sissinghurst's White Garden. It would perfume the whole garden for three weeks in June and buzz with bees. Marvellous !

I agree with you Morgana. But far from delicate at pruning time - my arms and hands would get scratched to bits !

Nice idea, but not a problem anymore because this garden isn't big enough to accomadate a rose of that size (30ft plus). Will miss it though.

Thanks Mageth. I did use to enjoy sitting under it, breathing in the perfume and listening to the constant hum of bees. A nice memory !
