Japanese garden and Acer

There is a small space behind the house, like a small courtyard, but mostly concrete..so we decided a Japanese einfluenced space would be nice..and you look out onto it from the kitchen when washing up..

Hello. This is beautiful. I have just bought a similar acer and am wondering whether it is best planted or left in the border in a large pot. They look so peaceful..........

This one is planted in the ground..certainly thrives and no worries about remembering to water.

They are better in the ground as in pots vine weevel gets to them . I had no trouble with mine in the ground but my sons in pots died.
