It's the sympathy that everyone shows that I love about this site...and who need pets when you have sheep, horses, deer, squirrels, slowworms, snakes, all kinds of birds (including a large white peacock), frogs and toads, rabbits, mink, cats, the odd dog (frightened by fireworks)..

If you check out GoYpedia Pets in the Garden, you'll see I've included elephants...
...i.e. "pets" of the Duke Bedford at Woburn..Lol.
..and Bornagain's plastic wellie rat.... etc. etc. :o)

Is the horse still with you ? !
I'm glad those hooves didn't mess up my lawn ! ;-)
3 Dec, 2009
By the third bottle you might be seeing little flower pot people not elelphants he he he lol
3 Dec, 2009
Best to drink three bottles before perusing my favourite photos....
Wellies.... budgies.....motorbikes... Sausage Trees...... :o)
3 Dec, 2009
Lol, Stevey! Think you'll see a whale after all those bottles!
3 Dec, 2009
When I first glanced at the photo I thought it was a "pantomime horse" with two people inside...Lol.
3 Dec, 2009
I'm sure I would have a "whale" of a time getting there..no, it wasn't the most elegant of beasts..sharp feet though. Lucky my grass can't really be described as "lawn".

It's proberbly come back for some shoes lol, as you did say you found a lot there when you first moved in, perhaps it remembers the way to get shoed. Did you find out who owned it.?
4 Dec, 2009
eventually, and a suitably enthusiastic teenaged lass was dispatched to get it..it had come quite a long way.

Poor thing :-(

Well at least its was kept safe and now has returned shame it could of helped you dig all those holes for your bulbs,:D:D they would of looked nice in the grass.

I have planted quite a few in my grassy mound..following the example of York's city walls..beautiful in spring, they are covered in daffodils.
4 Dec, 2009
They do look better in the grass crocus too. It will match your wild flowering garden too.:o)

They are Stevey....and a fabulous sight it is...my boy used to live at York, so we visited regularly......now he's in Sydney, so not so often....:o(

Actually when I first saw this pic I thought the horse had been jousting and lost it's knight...Morgana..what have you been up too??? ....:o)
4 Dec, 2009
I must of knocked the knight off the horse as I flew by on my broomstick lol any way think him self lucky as I flew by my arches in garden, I whipped up a torando and blew them down when trying to land lol.

I thought is was a rather stocky dog when I first saw the thumbnail. Then when I looked at the picture I still thought it was a stocky dog.....then I got my glasses!!! Well, at least it has a nice warm blanket on.
Have you got through your three bottles yet Steve? Are those elephants pink?
I remember the daffs in York.....<sigh>Lovley.

I think he is busy Gilli tredding the turf back lol
7 Dec, 2009
Working on the third..and how did you know I was out treading the turf back? Only not from the horse, but the skip lorries, taking away the burnt remains of my garage...
7 Dec, 2009
Oh no!! Did you have a fire??
8 Dec, 2009
All those wood clad doors you see in the picture were my garages for my old cars..all gone now. Let's just say its not been the best year I have ever had!
8 Dec, 2009
Garages gone and cars gone ? :o(
8 Dec, 2009
Yes..nothing fancy..1972 Morris 1800, and a three quarters built 1966 MGB GT rally car. Managed to save some MGB bits, so have bought another one (1971) to use them on! Good old Ebay..£1200!
The insurance company has replaced the mower, thank goodness.though I had to go and buy a new shed to put it in!

Some thing has caught its eye seems to be heading for some thing hehe. lovely horse, just push the turf back with your foot it will soon knit back. Have you no pet or animals then.
