Orchids last for a long time when flowering. I have got a rescue one that someone threw out and cut it back, got some bark chips and replanted it making sure that all the airiel roots were exposed at the top,. and it now has two stems with lots of flowers to come. I know nothing about orchids but have learned a little from the person I bought the special repotting bark from.

Thanks Jacque but it was just trial and error. It like rainwater best and I give it a drink now and again but don't let it stand in water. When I was in SIngapore the orchids were growing in the trees and they only get the rainwater every so often. Never had an orchid before but the flowers certainly last a long time and when you look closely at them they are so beautiful.

Yes their very Beautiful Lin :) this 1 gets watered once a wk & is left to drain in the sink b4 being put back onto its window sill ;)
