Bit of Snow

Not alot, but Sandra was wonting some up here, but it is very very cold to day.

Ah I've found it ... as you say only a little patch but it is snow! Sounds like the temps. have dropped quite a bit ... how are your pots faring out there?

Not bad, left some outside as i know they will be ok, but the tender plants in some of the pots are in my greenhouse its only small but big enough for what i need and i've bubble wrapped it, then thrown some fleece over everything as i've got some baby plants in there aswell, then i've put a layers of newspaper over everthink aswell, not beenin greenhouse for a few days as dont wont to let any cold air in, fingers crossed they will be ok, tomorrow is the shortist day day here so come Tuesday we are on the right side for the light nights to come back so thats one good bit.

Roll on the shortest day!! Sounds like you've got most of your plants tucked away safely .. let's hope it doesn't get much colder!

Hywel its all gone now, thank goodness like i say not very often we get it here.It went with in a couple of hours.

There eating for fun, mind you glad its them out in cold at night and not me, Smokey is in and out so quick, sure he does'nt have time to do what he as to bless him.

lol carol,, poor smokey, ive had food on my ground feeder all day but not been touched, but have seen robin and blackbird family at some food i put at bottom of garden, so they have eaten

My big seed feeder the doves can feed from that as well, but get lots of sparrows on it aswell they are coming in between showers all of them, mind you when i get my food from wilkos i also get the big bags of canary seed aswell and mix them together, canary seed is suppose to be good for them all year round and wilkos sell big bags for only £1-89.

I'll remember that tip about canary seed next time I'm in Wilkos :)

Gee the little sparrows love it, and i think they need a lot of help at moment to survive.

I'm going into town tomorrow (if the bus is running) so will get a supply in.

Are you like me Gee and have to get bus or walk, mind you do have your tricycle.

The town is about 6-7 miles away, Clarice, and uphill so I wouldn't try it on my trike! The buses run hourly during the day (or they are supposed to but the company that took over about 8 months ago have old buses that keep breaking down!). Problem is carrying everything back home again :)

No what you mean, i'm fine living on my own,but sometimes i could do with a bit of man power help, but supprising how we manage though :o)))

Would you believe it, Clarice, I went into town and bought suet pellets from Wilcos and forgot the canary seed. Good job my head is screwed on or I'm sure I would forget that too :)

Glad there's more than me that does that, i have to write everything down i need need, and can still forget things :o))
