~at this time of year a lot of the sand has been washed off in the foreground but at the moment seems to come back despite the dredging in the Bristol Channel which as you might guess is not popular with the locals!

I always admire the rock formation in your beach pics, look very volcanic. :-))

I used to see the dredgers there when I was little. It's a wonder there is any sand left.

~too true Hywel~ they say because it is brought up from really deep in the channel it has no impact but they ever turn up around here and say that they will get a hot reception!

I think the sand is disappearing. I remember when I was little there was more sand. It seems quite a lot of the beaches are more rocky than they were. Oxwich in particular has become much more pebbly, as if the sand has gone lower, and it is deffinately muddyer

I think you are right Hywel~How can they keep takinIg hundreds of tons and it won't make a difference~I wouldn't be surprised if the Welsh Aseembly weren't nobbled! My faith in poiliticians is at an all time low!

Mine too.
It has been said about the Gower sand for many years. You probably know about it. It makes me angry to think it is allowed to go on. I think it's only done to make money. If no money were to be made from it then it would stop.
