We have very clay soil so it takes days to absorb water

..but I hope there is no real damage and that the water drains away quickly.

It takes weeks sometimes to absorb.It does not drain quickly dear.It does damage my plants which is very hurtful.

We have clay soil here but have improved it with compost and put lots of straw in the compost bin. In my other garden I added some mushroom compost from a local farm. The soil goes hard if the summer is hot. Clay soil is Good for growing roses and green vegetables.
