~ these little cartoonised versions are really cute but his best work is usually a full representaion of any car ~he makes it really look like metal~did 4 years on a car design course but there were only a few jobs when he came out of uni so he works for a consultancy which does a lot of work for a national bus company~

So would I Amy! One of Andrews favourites is John Gilroy who used to do the Guinness ads ~ we went to Dublin for his birthday the year before last and spent the whole day at the Guinness brewery~ we had a lovely week!

~ Oh yes~when you pay for the tour you get a free pint in the 360 degree bar at the very top of the building with spectacular views of Dublin~ they also have a nice restaurant with good food~ we also did the Jameson's distillery tour~ free whiskey ~ Irish whiskey with an e! and had a great birthday meal at the Hard Rock cafe!

Arlene , I have this wonderful image of a huge lake topped with frothing Guinness and people sitting round it with straws ..LOL... .
That's a good flight , it takes longer than that to queue at our post office .. :o)
These cartoons reminded me of one I bought at a car boot , I was buying plants when I spotted it , it was about 18" x 12 " a caricature of a gentleman with a verse hand written down one side about his move from Dereham to Keighley .. it was strange because we live in Dereham and we were going to a friends 60th birthday in Keighley up north , so I bought it , thinking it would amuse him .. ... Well he read it .. and stunned us by saying " I know him , he use to work with me " isn't that a coincidence ?

Quite a coincidence but I think some things are meant to be~ loch Tay is in the Wicklow Mountains and is very dark like a glass of Guinness with a strip of pale sand along the edge ~ some say~ a la top gear~ that the water for Guinness gives it's special taste and comes from the Wicklow Mountains........ and has never come from the Liffey! An experience not to be missed~if you go back to Eire you need a few days in Dublin! just watch the drive to and from the airport~hair raising!
~the flights were to Cardiff not Bristol got mixed up witth the flight we did to Newcastle which was from Bristol~
Anyway it was getting dark as we came home and we could see the lights and curve of Swansea bay and probably flew across the house on the way into land~ the perfect end of a lovely holiday!
