What a shame , I would pull them off then Paul incourages growth of new flowers.

I'm not so sure ot's wise to encourage new growth at the moment 6d.

If you cut at this time of year, you run the risk of encouraging new growth which will then be killed by the cold and could allow disease in. I'll just take the flower heads off when it's a bit milder. I don't fancy going out in the garden at the moment!
