This tree looks a little drought-stressed...and is planted in a shopping center in a really bad spot. This tree grows to be a gigantic monster...and they have a humongous root system...which should be lifting the sidewalk in a couple of years. : > )

That's the million dollar question. It doesn't grow as large as the true tropics...however, it can grow to at least 50 feet/ 15 meters tall with a much wider spread. In the wet tropics this tree covers acres of land and grows to 100 feet/ 30 meters tall : > )

Yes, they are magnificent trees!
I have a tall one in a huge pot....however, I will never put it into the ground...not unless I hit the lotto and can buy a huge house with at least a 5 acre lot. : > )
