Arch at a Lookout

Arch at a Lookout

Here we found a nice big arch carved out in the sandstone, the sunset has almost come. It was a bit alarming reaching out over the thick barrier to get a good pic down this chute. :-)

Have you driven down into Zion? this reminds me of the peek-a-boo view you get going through the tunnel...I took the bus tour there ..... absolutely wonderful... getting off the buses and walking and hiking in and out and catching a bus again was so fun...

Thank you. I have been many times to Zion, the highway in start behind my parents house just 18 miles from the park entrance. I like the bus system there, really easy and fun, you can see so much. One winter we went in and got snow in the deepest canyon, that was something too, not recall that white stuff, we're all waraming up here. :-)

Oh I bet the fall colors where wonderful. I'm hoping to get in during the spring sometime, I found a lot of native orchid in the weeping walls that had just finished blooming end of June. They would be so nice to see.

I just found my disc with the photo's on GT...gosh it has been so long since I looked at them...just beautiful there..We went down the Oregon Coast into California then cut across through to LasVegas, David won 500.00 on the nickle machine on 1 yes I said 1 nickle...went through Death Valley, Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Sedona and then north up through Yellowstone and back around through Wyoming and Eastern Washington to visit our very own GOYER "Weeds" (lDavid's, my late husband's sister) and then home....such sweet memories..we had an absolutely perfect vacation...nothing went wrong, everything was so perfect and beautiful.
Again thank you for this...xx ~Cat aka Caroline

Thank you Delonix. I've been to Rainbow Bridge off Lake Powell and after that, these types of things are dwarfed. But still stirring. :-)
