Chirita Tamiana - (miniature) Streptocarpus

Chirita Tamiana - (miniature) Streptocarpus (Chirita - streptocarpus)

Tamiana was the first one of my new Chiritas to flower back in Nov 09
Hopefully all six will come through the winter and flower this year but they are such fragile little things.....they are recommended for people who haven't got the room for Streptocarpus - being just miniatures - we will see how they get on!!

Yes, they are so cute...
Thanks for the site, but they are only able to supply within the EU...We have here many private growers having great collections.

Hi there Aster...yes - we have suddenly developed quite a following for these charmers haven't we! No idea how these tiny ones will do - a bit of an experiment for me - as they seem to be a cross between a Strepto and an African Violet!!! Flower of the Strepto but furry leaves like an AV...but then of course they ARE related...LOL They are very fragile little things - not at all sturdy like a Strepto and will be prone to botrytis I should think if not watched like a hawk!

Looks very healthy here :) I think I over watered my AV's when I had them, that is many moons ago and there are so many more colours to choose from now..........
Oh dear,no I'm not going to try again lol :))

Oh Motinot...isn't that good! So pleased my little pic helped!
Also pleased to hear that they can last 4+ years - they seem such fragile little things compared with their big cousins - the sturdy Streptos!
