I loved the sagebrush back home. Sooo silvery. The low hills everywhere are blanketed with this, and small stone pinnacles from ancient volcanic shoots. We had 10 active hot springs within 30 miles.

Thanks Doon. In the heat that day the smell was almost overwhelming. Brisk snap of winged grasshoppers, ah, what a summery memory. :-)

Thanks. It can be overwhelming in smell, but now with it just a memory, I really miss it. I do collect much in herbs when I am down there. My luggage searches have never lost me anything, though I can only imagine opening a bag stuffed with little bags of dried green this and that. :-)
