I like it too. Mine are a similar colour "eventually" but I don't know the variety as they came from my brothers garden many years ago.

This is a new-ish cultivar - they've been breeding Hellebores which hold their flowers up, and I have a white version from last year.
At least I don't have to lie down to get its photo! LOL.

Thats a beautiful hellebore Spritz, lovely colour......

Ah! Then it's not like mine after all. Laying down to look at them is compulsary with mine. Ideal for the lazy gardener like me.

another pretty flower.

Well Toto - you have seen photos of mine where I've had to lie down to take a photo! It gets a bit more tricky at this time of year, though. It's a bit wet! :-(((
19 Jan, 2010
Lovely one, havn't got any buds even this year.
19 Jan, 2010
You just need to put your wet suit on.
20 Jan, 2010
Duh! Why didn't I think of that, Toto?
Dd - are you saying that there's no sign of the buds yet - they're late? Are they usually this late?

very nice

20 Jan, 2010

Spritz we usually have buds on at this time of year.....every one in the garden is the same :+((
21 Jan, 2010
yes i have one.... but it hasnt flowered yet........
21 Jan, 2010
Oh, Dd - maybe the cold has delayed them? Same with yours, Holly, maybe.
Thanks, Carol. :-)
21 Jan, 2010
yes mine came out late last year as well..........
22 Jan, 2010
Strange.... I wonder if the cold did affect them, it does sound as though that's the reason.
22 Jan, 2010
I do hope so, last year was not as cold, the snow we had then was in February and was gone as quickly as it came.so fingers crossed.....
22 Jan, 2010
We didn't get that - but it weren't 'alf cold! Hmmm...not sure whether it was colder last winter or this...Brrrrrrr....
22 Jan, 2010
what a beauty! perhaps they look even more stunning when they manage to struggle out in the cold of january and february to brighten up the garden?
2 Nov, 2010
Yes, that could well be it! Not too long to wait until the first one appears, Sticki. :-)))
2 Nov, 2010
one or two of mine are already trying to come out!? bit worried they have got muddled up and wont come out when they should?
2 Nov, 2010
They still will, I'm sure. Don't worry! I had a flower on one last year in October, and more flowers in February.
2 Nov, 2010
oh good ~ thank you
