Salvia 'Newby Hall' snapped off by the snow piled up on it when hubbys cleared the paths

the main stem is snapped off about 6" from the floor so hoping it will sprout from the base. but it is a semi hardy salvia to begin with.

I have had a bit of a wander around today and the overal damage doesnt look too bad. fingers crossed.

she was an entertaining speaker :o) though some of the more mature members found her abit ' in your face' .

I can see some hubby is in trouble, looks ok to me, plants are stronger than you think, as long as there is no jagged brakes, I would give it a clean cut if there was.
