Murraya paniculata - Orange Jessamine at San Diego Zoo

This massive hedge is located at the San Diego Zoo. This plant can also grow into a tree. However, it is widely used here as a hedge. This hedge has many hudred of thousands of flower buds which should be blooming soon. Orange Jessamine blooms most of the year. Photo taken Jan. 25, 2010.

Yes, the flowers are very fragrant...just like orange flowers, which it's related to. Orange Jessamine is an extremely popular and commonly grown hedge or tree in the tropics/subtropics.
