My bananas have completely shredded leaves from the big storms last week. Photo taken Jan. 24, 2010.

They are not harmed...they just look terrible!
Bananas are growing slowly now, however, they usually will put out a new leaf every 5 - 7 days from spring - fall...until they bloom. : > )

It's really not as bad as it looks...banana plants are so fast growing...in a couple of months you would never know the leaves were ever shredded from the winds. : > )
