Cream and Black Tulips a first for me, Usually reds and yellow, I hope the black one's open before the cream are finished, they were planted at the same time, so im a bit disappointed :(

yeah Lori your spot on, i had that thought this morning.. by the looks of the black tulips there smaller too..Thanks for your advice, its my own fault for not reading the label (duh)..

no faults to attach, there is so much variety in every species these days that it would take a Philadelphia lawyer to figure it all out and do it right the first time. . Besides, not getting it right the first time...gives you the chance to try something else next time... don't you just LOVE gardening?

I love these cream color ones Daisydee! A friend gave me some black bulbs she brought back from Holland a few years back and I experienced the same thing. I was dissapointed too. I started taking closer note when I was buying some fresh for someone that certain colors were smaller and of course the purple I wanted were much smaller like the black ones.

I See the bulbs are already in the shops Pollyannaever, I WILL read the instructions this time, instead of looking at the pretty pictures, :)

I've had this happen to me... need to check out the label carefully...I have Angelique... which I wanted to be out at the same time as muscari...but A.are a mid season tulip...we live and learn! lol.
