Snowdrops beside river 01-03-08 001

These Snowdrops are growing alongside the river & they are clearly visible from the footbridge. Although I took this photo 2 years ago no doubt they will be looking exactly the same this year. They even survive after being covered in a couple of feet of river water for a couple of weeks.

I've just uploaded 2 photos very similar to this one but taken on 19th February this year. If you compare them you will see they are quite similar yet these Snowdrops have been under several feet of water for several weeks. Only last year I saw them under water & I didn't expect them to survive - but survive they did & they still continue to survive!
