Yes, this is the route to Petco Park, the baseball stadium. It's to the left, behind all the tall buildings about 1.5 miles.
I'll have to take some photos of Petco Park and the surrounding gardens...the city has put so many millions of dollar into this stadium.

Last time i came there we drove past the stadium but i believe it was a different name then that was 98 i rember driving up this lovely bit of road.:o))

You're thinking of Qualcom Stadium which used to be called Jack Murphy Stadium in Mission Valley...that stadium is only about 3 miles from my house.
Petco Park in Downtown San Diego opened in 2004. Its not quite 6 years old. It's a spectacular baseball park. Downtown San Diego has changed drastically in the last 10 years. It's had a major building boom from 2000 - 2009...and several of the really bad areas in the East Village have been completely rebuild and gentrified.
