Broad beans ~Andaluce

These broad beans were chitted in a bag of damp potting compost, in the airing cupboard....took 4 days to sprout!!

Yes David....it was a suggestion by Terry Walton (top radio 2 veggy grower) who writes for the Garden News....(ahem....as I do..) Its one way of making sure your seed is viable.
You just pot them up (mine are breaking the surface now)....and plant them out when the weather improves (thats if it ever does....lol)....:o))

Yes...if it ever does! This method makes sense now, and is quicker than waiting for seeds sown directly into pots to sprout. Oh - will we able to read about your allotmenteering in GN too? :-))
