Our street lighting is new & actually looks like bright moonlight - a vast improvement on the old lighting. Theplan is to completely rewire the whole of Derby.
It did look beautiful and I always enjoy the snow but then we haven't been in the mess that some of the country's been in. And of course, as usual, we seem to completely go to pieces at the first snowflake!

Lovely but dont like snow full stop....

It was about 3 weeks ago. We drove through the snow 4 weeks previously to get to Birmingham Airport, had to have the plane wings de-iced twice and took off in a blizzard so fully expected the whole snow thing to have disappeared by the time we got back!!

Hope it's gone now Twiggy? We have blue sky and sunshine today, lovely....even though it's still very cold.

Yes, all traces have gone around Derby itself but if you to the north of the county, up around Buxton etc., apparently they've still got some on the 'tops'.
It's been lovely here this week too Potty - v. frosty first thing then sunshine & beautiful blue skies but there's still that keen edge if you're standing in the shade. The birds have gone into a frenzy of activity (hope it doesn't backfire on them!) and there are lots of Snowdrops & Crocuses appearing. Really lifts your spirits doesn't it?
