This young female blackbird has started to come into the garden, much to Hoppity's annoyance.

Do the females make friends, Toto? I am a bit worried that she will chase my lovely Hoppity away from the food.

I think the females are more likely to get on with each other than males are. Like you I would hate to think that Hoppity got pushed out.
