this is just a few of the viola seedlings we discovered after all the snow had gone, we had hundreds, can't believe they seeded from last year and have grown in all the awful weather

Amazing and they look so strong and healthy too, I know I have sowed some seed from last years violas but hope they have self seeded too, that would be a lovely pressie, must look out for them ;0))

PP this is the size we found them, just pricked them out this week and put into the greenhouse

Wonder if its the freezing temperatures that have helped to germinate them?

San we discovered them in a large pot we grew them in last year, don't know how they survived from all the snow, had hundreds of them, this is just one tray, gave my neighbour I would think 200. thanks Hywel and Janey

wow thats alot yorkshire, mine seem to be ok, will go round and take all the dead foilage and buds off, then hope they start up again :o)

I hope they do start again San, let me know. I pulled them all out last year after they died off not realising they had seeded themselves, it was a nice surprise seeing them all.

What an added bonus, all those seedlings. Its worth having Violas to get the seeds afterwards.
