This is the second picture of my Wisteria that I had almost given up on and finally flowered after eight very long years. I can not tell you how excited I was at capturing this with my camera!

It was really worth the wait, Muddy, and I was like an excited schoolkid the first time it flowered, 8 years is a long time to wait, and I know a couple of others on here have waited even longer!! Well done on all the hard work you've put in on yours, it is worth it in the end~honest!!
Only problem with sitting underneath this beauty, was picking out the petals that would fall in your wine glass lol! Am hoping to get a good display this year too, as loads of flower buds~just stay away frosts!!!!!!! :~()

Sounds like a good indicator to me - if it takes more than two attempts to pick a petal out of your wine, you've drunk too much !!! ... lol Cheers :-))

A wonderful plant. I have just spent two days untangling and tying in my Wisteria that I inherited when I moved in 18 months ago. I may be short of a few flowers this year, but the TLC (and sore hands) should pay dividends in the future.
It must be wonderful to sit underneath yours and drink in that perfume (with a bottle or two !). :-))
