White, yellow and orange primulas from Homebase, selling under the name "Spring Treasure". Now potted up, to brighten the front doorstep.

Beautiful Primroses! I love Primroses, however, they don't grow well here...even in the middle of winter they need to be planted in semi-shade.

That is a shame, Delonix, but I can imagine that the heat sees them off, not sunshine. My doorstep is south-facing, but, right now, no real warmth in the sunshine as yet, so these are lasting a long time.

I've planted some in my front yard under my Jacaranda tree in the past. They grew ok for a while. The problem is our winter heat waves...when the temps can go up to 90 degrees/ 32 degrees C. and it's a very, very dry (sometimes less than 10% humidity) heat in winter also.
